A well known British designer, Kelly Hoppen, has recently disclosed that she won’t be working with couples to design interior for them because “she is fed up with their arguments”.
As someone who works in the wedding industry, I find it fascinating and in a way I can understand Kelly’s decision. Mind you, with or without couples, her business will thrive whereas mine would not (who’d need a wedding photographer that doesn’t shoot couples?!).
She adds, “You end up having to be this psychologist between them. You say one thing to the husband and another to the wife and you barter.”
I know grocery shopping can be traumatic already for some couples, so an extensive and ongoing project for re-decorating their home could be a total deal-breaker if nerves can’t take it.
But, what about gay couples?
